Visit by the Ghana Education Service Municipal Co-ordinator of Private Schools of the GA East Municipal Area, Mrs. Comfort Kutin, to the Daylight International School.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) Municipal Coordinator of Private Schools of the GA East Municipal Area, Mrs. Comfort Kutin, visited the Daylight International School on Wednesday, 4th June 2014.

The purpose of the working visit was to monitor on – site the operations of the new School and assess the progress of performance.

She thus inspected all the physical facilities, classroom settings, teaching and learning materials and administrative system of the School to find out their effectiveness. She also had an official meeting with the Management and Staff. She expressed her satisfaction with the high quality standards of the School in terms of physical facilities, the caliber of Management and Teachers and the administrative system.

At the end of the meeting, the Municipal Co-ordinator made some recommendations to further improve the quality standards of the School in the long term.

Open House

The Daylight International School held its first Open House on Thursday, 7th August 2014.

The main purpose of the Open House was to enable Parents and Guardians tour the School, discuss progress of performance of the School Children and share ideas on the way forward. It was attended by Parents, Guardians, Well Wishers and some interested members of the Community.

As part of the opening session, the School Children thrilled the gathering with interesting performance of songs and recitals.

The Parents and Guardians then visited the classrooms and examined all the class work and books of the School Children, together with the Children and their Teachers. They also discussed the Progress Reports on the Performance of the Children with the Class Teachers and provided important feedback and recommendations to help the children do better.

After the tour of the classroom, the School Management thanked the Parents, Guardians and Well Wishers for participating in the Open House. The Management encouraged the Parents and Guardians to continue to guide and support the Children whilst they do their homework at home.
